Tom Jones

Tom Jones (real name: Thomas John Woodward) became hi music career in the middle 60’s under the name Tommy Scott in the group called the Senators. In 1964 the artist began hi solo career singing in different Welsh music clubs. The same year he released his debut single entitled "Chills and Fever" under the name Tom Jones; the record was issued on the Decca label.

In the middle 60’s Tom Jones recorded and released such popular singles as "It's Not Unusual," "Once Upon a Time," "Little Lonely One," "With These Hands," "What's New Pussycat?," "Thunderball," "Green, Green Grass of Home," "Detroit City," etc. Most f his song had a huge success in the United Kingdom and became commercially successful.

In the early 70’s Tom Jones moved to the United States. He began to perform in Las Vegas music clubs. At the end of the 79’s Jones began to work with producer Mark Woodward (after former artist’s manager Gordon Mills had died). In the beginning of the 80’s Tom Jones began to record again, he released several country-pop LPs, which became rather popular in the U.S.

In 1988 Tom Jones issued the full-length entitled the Art of Noise. The cover of the Prince's single "Kiss" had a great success both ides of Atlantic and sent the album to the top of American and British charts. Soon after its releasing Jones went on the music tour after which h recorded the Under Milk Wood album. The Lead and How to Swing It followed in the middle 90’s.
