Slaughter

The deep metal Canadian band Slaughter appeared in 1984 in Scarborough, Ontario. The group was formed by singer/guitarist Dave Hewson, singer/bassist Terry Sadler, and drummer Ron Sumners. In 1986 they released their first full-length album called Strappado. In 1990 the group split after releasing a couple of albums.

In 1990 the Slaughter’s founder Hewson started the new project called Strappado. He recruited guitarist Bobby Sadzak, drummer Brian Lourie, and bassist Mike Dalton. In 1992 they disbanded. In 1994 Slaughter was refounded to record the cover of the Celtic Frost’s song "Dethroned Emperor."
