Son House’s real name is Eddie James House, Jr. He was born on March 21, 1902, in Riverton, MS. As a teenager he used to sing in a chorus in various Baptist churches. Later he became popular as a blues singer, and his achievements in music were highly valued. In fact he signed a contract with one of the most famous labels- the Paramount label.
Son House’s hits such as," "Preachin' the Blues," and "Dry Spell Blues,""My Black Mama," "Walkin' Blues" are known all over the world and still popular.
