The popular Norwegian vocalist Sondre Lerche signed his first music contract with the Virgin Norway label in 2000, and he got the first prize as Best New Act at the Norwegian Grammys. The You Know So Well and No One's Gonna Come EPs appeared the following year. Lerche’s first full-length album, Faces Down, was released in Europe in 2001.
After releasing his debut full-length album Sondre Lerche went on the big concert tour in Europe. He performed with such famous group as A-ha. In 2002 Faces Down appeared in America, and the same year Lerche played several concerts in the U.S. The Don't Be Shallow EP was issued in 2003; and Two Way Monologue followed the next year.
