It was obvious she was a gifted child.

Vanessa-Mae being brought up in London had a nice opportunity to perform with an orchestra called the London Philharmonic (it was in 1989). After the concert which was recorded being rather successful Vanessa-Mae issued two other recordings during the period since 1990 and until 1992. That was followed by a concert tour with the London Mozart Players.

Venom’s music style is easily recognizable; it is characterized as black, dark, shadowy, mystical, loud, gloomy and negative. Venom became popular pretty soon after issuing their debut album which was called Welcome to Hell and appeared in 1981. The album was a success and received much praise being appreciated both by the musical critics and the press.

Venom’s second album presented LP; it was called Black Metal and was issued in 1982. At War with Satan, the band’s third album was issued in 1983. Possessed appeared in 1985. Venom’s stuff was not permanent and every now and then the musicians left the band to make solo careers of their own, and were replaced by some other musicians. After Matt Hickey and Jimmy Clare other member of the band Cronos disbanded as well joining the two musicians. But that fact did not make any negative impact on the band.

Venom’s ex-member Cronos rejoined the band in 1996 and replaced Dolan. After that the band issued a mini-album which was called Venom '96. The album was considered to be neither bad nor good. Then there was a period when the band changed its stuff and lost its popularity- for some time the band did not issued any recordings but just performed on the stage. After the band reunited, it made a world tour which was OK.

After their tour Venom released the two-disc New, Live & Rare in mid-1998. The recording was good and it was obvious that the band was gradually rising. In 1999 the band issued one more recording to support the previous one which was called Buried Alive. The Dave Clark Five

The Dave Clark Five immerged in 1964 and pretty soon it became rather successful, appreciated both by musical critics and mass media, in fact the band had a lot of fans, especially in their home country. As a matter of fact the band The Dave Clark Five was obviously a copy of a very popular band of all times called the Beatles.

The Dave Clark Five (all of the members) had a good ear for music), besides they composed the music and wrote the texts of their songs themselves, and their music was known as really good, especially their early one, which was melodic powerful, beautiful, gorgeous, individual, etc. And what is concerned about the texts- the material was rather good, and suitable.

The Dave Clark Five’s member Dave Clark managed and produced the band himself. That was obviously a great plus for the band, as they had a great opportunity to discuss all the questions within the band. But in the 70th the band failed to live to the high expectations of the contemporary society and it disbanded in 1970.

The Dave Clark Five debuted with such singles as "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "Glad All Over" which were considered to be real hits and topped the British charts. The band was constantly compared with the Beatles, but although they said that the Rolling Stones were much more stronger.

The Dave Clark Five issued a lot of hits. Duting 1964 and 1967 the band topped the charts seventeen times with such songs, for instance, as "Glad All Over," "Bits and Pieces," "Because," and a remake of Bobby Day's "Over and Over". So during those years the band was the chief topic for discussion for the press.

The Dave Clark Five had a lot of strength which made them popular and successful, but the most valuable in the band were Mike Smith's leathery vocals, which was considered to be really strong and professional, and Clark's drum sound, which was known as very loud, even shouting and powerful.

The Doors

The Doors was formed in Los Angeles in 1965 by UCLA film students Ray Manzarek, keyboards, and Jim Morrison, vocals; with drummer John Densmore and guitarist Robby Krieger. The band specialized in heavy music, namely in rock. Though the band didn’t have a bass player, but that was compensated by electric organ and Morrison's deep strong voice.

The Doors signed a contract with Elektra Records in 1966, and pretty soon the band issued ots debut album called The Doors, which was made of very good songs, and "Light My Fire," for example, was considered to be a real hit. The album itself was considered to be one of the best ones. Their music was melodic, pleasant to ear, and professional.

The Doors was extremely successful and demanded by the public, the band was considered to be one of the most sanding ones of its time. It was appreciated both by the critics and mass media. But still the Doors was more demanded during the early period of their career, and even if some of their following albums were a success, people preferred the first ones.

The Doors issued L.A. Woman in 1971, and before that one of the members of the band, Morrison, was arrested for his “bad behavior” during a concert in Miami, and it couldn’t help influencing the band’s career. But in spite of that the band succeeded in issuing a lot of successful albums and songs during 1971.

The Doors lost forever their one of their members, Morrison, when he died in Paris because of drugs. The band did their best to go on with their career without their best member, but all in vein, the band was on the verge of breaking for during some time, and in at last it disbanded as without Morrison the band wasn’t so successful.

The Exploited

The Exploited is known as one of the band which was considered to be on of those who have been the chief topic for discussion both for critics and mass media during a long time. The group was formed Edinburgh by vocalist Wattie Buchan, one of the well-known musicians in Great Britain of his time.

The Exploited’s cast wasn’t permanent and every now and then different musicians replaced each other, of course, except the leader of the band, vocalist Wattie Buchan. The band immerged in the late 70yh, and pretty soon became very popular, probably because of their unusual texts of the songs, their themes.

The Exploited specialized in heavy earsplitting music, and in their songs they disapproved of the government, and most of all such politicians as Reagan, Thatcher, and their ministers, and other stuff. The band was best known in the United States and Great Britain, but none of these countries supported the band.

The Exploited signed a contract with Slayer and Ice-T to release their records. And most of their songs were released on that very label. So they are known for such releases as "Disorder", the Exploited, Live in Japan issued in 1994, Beat the Bastards released in 1996, and Fuck the System recorded in 2002.

Status Quo

So appearing on the top of the charts every now and than in England, they were in the shadow in the rest of the world.

Status Quo, as it was mentioned, was rather successful in the United Kingdom, for example, their song called "Pictures of Matchstick Men" could be found in a Top Ten hit under the number twelve. But it had been before the band changed its name for Status Quo (it was in August 1967), and before that the stuff of the band was a bit changed: Rick Harrison (guitar, vocals) joined the band the same year.

Status Quo debuted with single called "Pictures of Matchstick Men," which was number seven in different local charts. But as some time passed to a great surprise the band shot number twelve in the United States as well. The following two singles were successful enough, namely "Black Veils of Melancholy" and "Ice in the Sun," a Top Ten hit in 1968.

After Ian Stuart formed the band together with John "Grinny" Grinton they moved to London where they issued their debut single called "You're So Dumb".

Skrewdriver’s debut album was called All Skrewed Up. It was successful enough, but nevertheless the band had some problems with their label and soon, to be more exact in 1979, they disbanded. But some time later the ban was reformed as its leader was quite sure that their music was able to make a great impact on their fans.

After a short break Skrewdriver returned and after a while released lots of singles. This time the press didn’t close their eyes on the violence on the stage and its influence upon their young fans: a lot of critical articles appeared in the press. However that didn’t scare the musicians, more over on one of their concerts in 1982 they copied all the gestures of a Nazi.

Skrewdriver released a single called "White Power" in 1983 which was the most successful the band had ever issued. The same very year the band signed a contract with the German record label Rock-O-Rama, and pretty soon released their new album called Hail the New Dawn (1994). The main problem was that the band was constantly attacked by the critics.

In 1987 the Skinny Puppy’s founder Key and Legendary Pink Dots’ member Edward Ka-Spel released the album called Their Eyes Slowly Burning.
