The group called Six Feet Under was founded in the early 90’s by former members of Cannibal Corpse and Obituary: Chris Barnes (vocals) and Allen West (guitar). Later they recruited the former Death member Terry Butler (bass) and Greg Gall (drums).
The Six Feet Under band recorded and released its first full-length album entitled Haunted in the early 90’s. In 1996 the groupmembers issued the Alive and Dead EP, which was rather successful and attracted the public attention to the group.
In 1997 Six Feet Under produced its second full-length album named Warpath. The Maximum Violence LP appeared two years later. Graveyard Classics appeared in 2000, and the full-length entitled True Carnage was recorded and released the following year.
