Testament

One of the most popular American bands of the 90’s Testament was founded in 1983 by Greg Christian (bass), Steve Souza (vocals), Louie Clemente (drums), Derrick Ramirez and Eric Peterson (both: guitar). In the middle 80’s they signed the professional contract with Megaforce Records and issued their first full-length album entitled The Legacy.

After releasing its debut effort Testament went on the big concert tour in the United States and Europe; in the tour the group recorded the EP called Live at Eindhoven. The full-length entitled The New Order followed in 1988, and the Practice What You Preach album was released the next year. In 1989 Testament went on tour in the U.S. with such bands as Wrathchild and Savatage.

In 1990 Testament issued its next studio album named Souls of Black and went on the great Europian music tour with Suicidal Tendencies, Slayer, and Megadeth. Two years later the band released The Ritual LP, which was rather successful in America. The Apocalyptic City EP appeared in 1994, it was followed by the 1995’s full-length Live at the Fillmore.

In 1997 Testament issued the Demonic LP, the Gathering followed two years later. In the 2000’s the group recorded and released such full-length albums like First Strike Still Deadly (2001) and Days of Darkness (2004). In 2005 the band took part in several festivals in Europe.
