Sixpence None the Richer

Sixpence None the Richer was founded in the beginning of the 90’s in Austin by Leigh Nash (vocals) and Matt Slocum (guitar). Later they recruited Dale Baker (drums) and Tess Wiley (guitar) and released their first full-length album entitled The Fatherless & the Widow in 1993. This Beautiful Mess followed two years later.

Sixpence None the Richer released its third self-titled album in 1997. In 1999 the group issued the hit single entitled "Kiss Me," which had a great success and flew up to the top of charts. In 2003 Sixpence None the Richer produced the "Don't Dream It's Over" single, which also became very popular.
