Slade

The British group Slade (former title: In-Be-Tweens) was founded in 1966 by Noddy Holder (vocals and guitar), Don Powell (drums), Dave Hill (guitar), and Jimmy Lea (bass). In the late 60’s theband released such albums like Beginnings (1969) and Play It Loud (1970). In 1971 Slade issued the hit single "Get Down and Get With It," which ha d a huge success in the U.K.

In the 70’s Slade relased a great number of hit singles ("Merry Xmas Everybody," "In for a Penny," "Bangin' Man," "Take Me Bak 'Ome," "Far Far Away," "Everyday," etc.) In 1977 produced the full-length entitled Whatever Happened to Slade? The Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply was released in the U.S. in 1983.
