The Sisters of Mercy

The Sisters of Mercy was popular in the 80s as a band with gothique style, and their music can be characterized as heavy earsplitting sounds. One of the strengths of the band is its vocalist Andrew Eldritch who is known for his strong voice, even more-it is obvious that it was he who contributed to such a success of the band.

The Sisters of Mercy was said to have borrowed the title for their band from some religious base, in particular from Catholic Sepultura, but this fact is rather arguable. But what is really evident is that the band’s success was made up of two things, namely the originality of their style and the charming depth of the vocalist’s voice.
