Tiamat is known to be formed in 1988, and comprised such musicians as Edlund, bassist Jorgen "Juck" Thullberg, and session musicians Stefan "Emetic" Lagergren (guitar) and Andres "Najse" Holmberg. The band was successful enough; it was appreciated by the musical critics and mass media. The band issued a lot of recordings; some of them became chart-toppers.
Tiamat is known for such popular releases as Crawling in Vomits and Sign of the Pentagram (demos, issued on England's CMFT label), Sumerian Cry 9the band’s debut album, issued in 1990), Clouds (1993), The Sleeping Beauty (1994), "When You're In" (issued in 1995 on Gaia EP), Skeleton to Skeleton (issued in 1999), etc. Besides the band made a lot of concert tours.
Through their albums Tiamat showed that all the musicians in the band were sophisticated, outstanding, creative, original, extraordinary and hard-working people. The strong beautiful deep voice of the vocalist can be easily recognizable. Their album called Judas Christ issued in 2002 is a good example of that. The album became extremely popular.
